***A note on the Okinawan bananas. These are not like the ones you get from the commissary/Mexico. They are not edible until quite ripe. If you eat them when they are still green, or even yellow but hard, they will taste like chalk. However, when they are ripe, I personally think they taste MORE like a banana than the ones we are used to from the States.
